The Shenzhen Construction Engineering Sector Science and Technology Planning Projects represent major scientific initiatives launched by the Shenzhen Housing and Construction Bureau to deepen the innovation-driven development strategy, steer technological innovation in the sector, and further enhance industry innovation capabilities.
Super-Sized Modular Unitized Curtain Wall Prefabricated Construction System
This project targets complex super-tall buildings with irregular curtain wall panels (average weight: 5.1 tons, average area: 53.8 m²). It developed a super-sized modular unitized curtain wall prefabricated construction system to address challenges such as difficult installation of spatially irregular curtain walls and multiple potential leakage points. The system significantly improves on-site installation efficiency for super-tall irregular unitized curtain walls and enhances overall architectural aesthetics.
The system was successfully deployed in the Shenzhen China Merchants Bank Headquarters Tower (388 meters)—the tallest and most technically challenging standalone banking complex in China. Leveraging the "Sanxin Smart Technology Platform," the project adopted full-process BIM forward design and lifecycle BIM management, greatly accelerating construction progress.
